인천 청학동 주거지역 안에 자리한 대지다.

Brief

여러 연령층이 함께 쓰는 지역도서관이다.

Challenge

외형부터 내부 동선, 수직 동선, 집기에 이르기까지 서로 다른 연령의 이용을 건축계획에 담아야 했다.

Approach

주거지역이라는 지역적 특성을 감안해 외부 형태를 정하고, 화강석과 압축목재 판넬을 수직·수평 비례에 맞춰 입면에 배치했다.

Overview

A local library used by various age groups — a work where everything from the exterior and interior circulation to vertical circulation and interior furnishings had to be reflected in the architectural plan.

The exterior form was planned considering the regional character of its location within a residential area.

Granite and compressed-timber panels were arranged on the elevation in vertical and horizontal proportion.
