확장하는 시내와 택지 개발지에 면한 세 개 필지를 동시에 개발하는 프로젝트다.

Challenge

작은 규모와 최소 공사비라는, 늘 되풀이되는 조건에 대한 또 하나의 답을 찾는 일이었다.

Approach

간결한 형태, 적은 종류의 쉬운 재료, 단순한 디테일 등 설계가 만들어낼 수 있는 경제성을 시종 염두에 두었다. 크기가 다른 같은 모양의 두 박스로 비례감을 만들고, 이질적인 재료의 선형 요소로 변화를 주었다.

Overview

A project developing three adjoining lots at once, facing an expanding town and a housing development district.

It is yet another answer to the recurring brief of small scale and minimum construction cost.

Throughout, we kept in mind an economical architecture that design can deliver — simple forms, easy materials even if modest, and plain details. Two box-like objects of the same shape in different sizes, giving a sense of proportion, are joined and enlivened by a linear element of contrasting material.

How it will feel at actual scale, I cannot be certain.
