두 필지에 걸친 대지로, 전후에 고저차가 있다.

Brief

교회와 교육관을 동시에 계획하는 건이다.

Challenge

건축면적의 한계로 대예배실을 지하에 두어야 했고, 두 동의 건물을 하나로 보이게 하는 일이 대지 형상 때문에 어려웠다. 두 필지 각각 인허가가 진행되는 번거로움도 있었다.

Approach

대지 전후의 고저차를 이용해 지하층으로 직접 진입하게 했다.

Outcome

사업 내용이 수없이 바뀌면서 규모와 절차, 결과물 모두 처음과 판이하게 달라진, 그만큼 힘이 들었던 프로젝트다.

Overview

A project planning a church and an education hall at once on two lots. Because of the limit on building area, the main worship hall was placed underground, with direct entry to the basement using the level difference between the front and back of the site.

Making two buildings appear as one was difficult because of the site shape. The trouble of two buildings whose permits proceeded separately on two lots, together with endlessly changing project content, made everything — scale, procedure, outcome — turn out utterly different from the start; a project that was that much harder for it.
